Wanting to take your adventure further afield? Many bus and train operators offer fantastic summer savings with deals such as 2-for-1 and discounted entry at top attractions and family day passes to keep the costs down. Here are some of the best deals on offer at the moment.

Travel anywhere in Tees Valley on one bus ticket
Have you heard of the Smartzone TeesRider? Forget buying multiple tickets for multiple buses. With Smartzone TeesRider just
choose between two zones and the bus operators take care of the rest.
This ticket lets you hop on and off any Arriva, Stagecoach, Go North East across Tees Valley and is available as a 7 or 28 day ticket, valid all week long.
Kids travel for just 10p with Stagecoach in Teesside and Hartlepool
Hop on a Stagecoach bus in Teesside or Hartlepool and kids travel for just 10p until Sunday 2nd September.
You can take up to two under 16s with your adult ticket for 10p each, but they must be travelling with you. Up to four children under five can travel for free. You can buy the kids' 10p bus ticket from our driver when you’re using one of the following adult tickets:
- Teesside daytripper
- Hartlepool dayrider
- Teesside/Hartlepool dayrider Plus
- Teesside/Hartlepool megarider or megarider Plus
Get 2-for-1 entry at selected attractions with Northern Railway
Travel a little further with Northern Railway and your money will go further too, with 2-for-1 entry offers at loads of fantastic attractions across the North of England!
Apply for the offer online, print out your voucher and arrive at the venue on the specified day with your train tickets to hand.
Unlimited bus travel for £2 with your Transpenine Express train ticket
PLUSBUS is an add-on ticket you can buy at the same time at as you buy your train ticket, which will give you unlimited bus and tram travel around the whole urban area of your selected town or city. There are no peak period restrictions, so you can hop-on and hop-off buses and trams as much as you like.

Go North East have teamed up with some of the North East's top attaractions to offer discounts to people arriving with a valid bus tickets. Buses running out of Middlesbrough, Stockton and Hartlepool all have great offers for families looking for fun days out.

The Darlington family ticket is reduced from £7 to just £5 until 2 September 2018 (for use in the town centre zone only - indicated by the dotted line). This ticket is only available for purchase on the bus.
Unlimited bus travel this summer for under 16s
(Teesside & East Cleveland only)
Arriva have a summer fare offer for child tickets on the Teesside and East Cleveland Network. The offer is for unlimited travel from 27 July to 6 September for £24 for 16s and under. That is a saving of £51. You can find out more here.
